Dermatological tests

At HelloBody, providing high quality products is at the core of everything we do. That’s why our products have been dermatologically tested by an independent German institute (The Dermatest Institute) and have all received an “excellent” rating so far.

Our ingredients

The Earth’s ecosystem can be described as a complex organism in which different cycles interlock to form a stable system. People must integrate themselves responsibly if this stability is to be maintained – and that goes for us as a company, too. That’s why mindful and responsible interaction with people, animals and the environment is the basis for all our decisions.

The best natural ingredients are the signature of our products, because of their exceptional benefits for your skin or hair. On each of our product pages, you’ll be able to discover, in detail, their benefits for your skin or hair. All of our products are made in Germany and we measure the ingredients of natural origin according to strict industry standards.

Ingredients of natural origin

Our goal is to reach 100% ingredients of natural origin in our products. Currently, the average percentage of natural ingredients in our formulas is 98% – this small difference is necessary to ensure the sensorial qualities and the best preservation of the formulas.

Reduce our impact on the environment

Because we want only the best for your skin and the environment, we refuse to use the following in our products: parabens, sulphates, microplastics and aluminium. We do not resort to using irritating ingredients such as denatured alcohol, or mineral oils and waxes, as they do not benefit the skin greatly.

Sustainable packaging

The well-being of our customers and the well-being of our planet are equally important to us – not least because we depend on the earth’s natural resources. That’s why we want to treat it with respect and give something back. So, we endeavour to find the best possible ways to protect the earth’s natural resources, from the planning and development stages of our products and beyond. We attach great importance to making our product packaging more and more sustainable. However, all new packaging variants must first be tested for their suitability to make sure that our formulas are well protected and do not interact adversely with alternative packaging materials. These tests tend to take a great deal of time and are rather complex.

Status quo – what we’ve achieved so far.

We use 100% recyclable plastic for our cosmetic packaging. As of January 1, 2020, we will change the packaging material of all our containers – our tubes will contain at least 55% recycled material from then on. Looking forward, our goal for the future is to use 100% recycled material for all of our packaging. What’s more, we’ve also decided to use more glass for our primary packaging. Glass is easier to recycle than plastic, can be degraded by natural means and does not release toxins into the environment in the process.

The boxes that we use to ship orders are made of 100% recycled paper. For filling materials we use paper instead of plastic – it contains no chemicals and is generally printed with water-soluble inks that are biodegradable. In addition to this, we use uncoated paper for our flyers. This means reduced water and energy consumption. In addition, This paper can be recycled up to seven times, which in turn, benefits our forests.

Internal tests

Before the launch of any new product, we have it evaluated by our internal testing centre, made up of members of our team our wonderful community – all passionate and curious to try out our new products. Their opinions and comments are invaluable to us, as they inspire the development of our future products.
